• Is Toppik suitable for female hair loss?

Yes. Many dermatologists recommend Toppik  for patients they are treating for female hair loss. Clients who are experiencing female hair loss generally find that they experience a diffuse thinning over the entire top region of their scalp as opposed to men who will lose it from the frontal and crown region with a bald patch. Toppik does an excellent job of disguising this diffuse thinning and providing the appearance of a thick full head of hair. The only problem we have experienced with female hair loss clients is that sometimes they have had their hair coloured in some of the more obscure colours that are not available in our standard colour range. In this instance we recommend they have their hair dyed closer to one of our standard colours (an exact match is not necessary) if they wish to continue using Toppik.

• Is Toppik detectable and does it look natural?

If you suffer from female hair loss Toppik Hair Building Fibres will blend seamlessly with your existing hair and won’t be noticeable even from a couple of inches away. It does need existing hair for it to bind too though and is not suitable for areas of the scalp that are completely bald.

• Will it stain my clothes or come off on my pillow?

Toppik Hair Building Fibres is a dry colourfast fibre much like your own hair, except Toppik is dissected into very fine particles and charged with static electricity to bind with your own hair. It will not smear or stain your scalp, clothes or bedding.

• How does it come off?

Toppik Hair Fibres  removes easily with your normal shampoo.

• What about sweating or wind and rain?

Toppik Hair Fibres is designed to adhere to the hair and will not run or smear. It is however unsuitable for swimming in.

• Can I still use my normal styling products?

Toppik Hair Fibres is compatible with many other styling products. We advise our female hair loss clients to dry and style your hair as you normally would, and then apply Toppik.

• What colours does Toppik come in?

Toppik Hair Building Fibres comes in a variety of colours, including black, dark brown, medium brown, light brown and blonde. Click here  to see the full colour range.

• I have blonde streaks so what colour would I use?

In this instance we recommend that that you use the base colour of your hair.
